You Don't Have To Be Strong.
Strength isn't measured by how well we hide our pain. Sometimes allowing ourselves to feel is the bravest thing we can do.
Inside the card -
People often tell us we're strong when they don't know what else to say. But strength can become another weight to carry. You may feel as though everyone is watching to see how well you're coping. You don't have to perform your grief for anyone. You don't have to hide your tears because they make somebody else uncomfortable. You don't have to smile to reassure people that you'll be okay. Real strength isn't pretending. Sometimes, real strength is allowing yourself to fall apart in a place that feels safe. It's asking for help. It's saying, "Today is harder than yesterday." Let yourself be exactly where you are.
There is courage in honesty too.
Why this card? -
This card gently challenges the idea that grieving people must always appear strong for everyone else.
This card was written for those moments.
That is what makes Words Worth Keeping different. Not the cardstock. Not the envelope. The writing.
